DRIVER CALL OUT FOR WPS BATHURST 12 HOUR

Team LMR will have two brand new, purpose built, VE HSV R8 Sedans for February's 2009 WPS Bathurst 12 Hour – now all they need are drivers.

Built and prepared by former V8 Supercar driver Cameron McLean, Team LMR media consultant Wes Beadman said he believed both cars were capable of pole position and an outright win with the right driver combination at the wheel.

“With two brand new cars; the experience of Cameron McLean; a whole crew of Mount Panorama, 12 hour and endurance specialists; and no dollar spared, the team is going to be formidable come February,” said Beadman.

“We are looking for drivers with Mountain experience, who are team players and who come with a budget.

“The team has the support of Barton HSV, Hydraulink, ROARZ and the GSK Group of Companies, and along with their investment the Team is putting everything it has into making a good showing at the WPS Bathurst 12 Hour.”

WPS Bathurst 12 Hour Event Director James O’Brien said the Event’s website – www.bathurst12hour.com.au, – could be a valuable resource for both teams and drivers still finalising their plans for the February Event.

“Whether you are a driver looking for a team or a team looking for drivers, interested parties can submit their details to www.bathurst12hour.com.au, where they will be displayed for other teams and drivers to view,” said O’Brien.

“Hopefully this service will enable these drivers and teams to find each other and join up for a successful 2009 WPS Bathurst 12 hour campaign.”

The 2009 WPS Bathurst Showroom Enduro will be held at Mount Panorama on February 20-22. Tickets are now on sale and would make the perfect Christmas gift for that special someone in your family or circle of friends.

The 2008 WPS 12 Hour Showroom Enduro attracted in excess of 100 drivers across 37 entries from various parts of Australia and New Zealand with the Mitsubishi Evo IX of Damien White, Graham Alexander and Rod Salmon taking the victory.
